If you've somehow missed the numerous advertisements being played on the radio over the past days - The Car Expo has returned!
Happening this weekend on 13 and 14 April 2024, the event is playing host to a total of 21 authorised distributors and 10 used car dealers, on top of a host of other firms retailing various vehicle accessories.
The recently launched Aion Y Plus is available to view at The Car Expo, alongside the firm's Hyper HT SUV
Highlights that attendees can look forward to at the event include seeing the recently launched Aion Y Plus. The all-electric car comes with a 63.2kWh battery that powers a 134bhp electric motor and gives the car a 430km WLTP range.
Local distributor VINCAR EV is offering the car with a special promotion that includes an additional $10,000 discount on top of its Refresher Package, a $5,000 launch discount, and a free home charger installation or one year of charging credits.
Also on display at Aion (booth D8) is the firm's ES sedan, although you'll more likely want to catch a glimpse of its Hyper HT, which comes with a set of swanky gull wing doors for its rear passengers. The two cars are currently not for sale.
The first 50 customers who purchase the Avante Hybrid at The Car Expo will be able to get their car in a special Sport Edition which comes with special body accessories
Those who want a car from a more familiar brand, meanwhile, can visit Toyota at booth D1 to check out the firm's new vehicles which include the Vellfire Hybrid, or the Prius.
The latter is being offered at the event with an Inozetek premium wrap worth up to $3,588, for a $388 top up. Those who purchase a Cat B Toyota vehicle at The Car Expo will also be able to net for themselves a 65-inch Prism+ television, on top of one year's worth of road tax, amongst other offers.
And for those looking for something a little more adventure-oriented, there's also the facelifted Jeep Wrangler to catch at the event.
Complete with a redesigned seven-slot grille at the front, the famous off-roader also now sports a 12.3-inch infotainment system in its cabin, and comes to Singapore powered by a 268bhp 2.0-litre engine paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Look out for the upcoming new Suzuki Swift, or this flamboyant iteration of the Jimny at Suzuki's booth
Those looking for more practical options will want to visit Suzuki at booth D11 to catch the Jimny or the Swift, which are being offered with three years of free servicing on top of an insurance subsidy. And if you're not ready to purchase a new car just yet - visitors to the Suzuki booth can also check out the all-new Suzuki Swift before it officially launches here in Singapore!
Head over to the Hyundai booth and you'll not only be able to catch the Ioniq 5 (our Car of the Year for 2023), but also the Avante Hybrid Sport Edition (read our review of the regular Avante Hybrid here). The special edition car is limited to just 50 examples, and comes complete with a set of sporty body accessories which are free to all who purchase their car at the event.
BMW is offering a host of prizes including an iPhone 15 to all who purchase their dream vehicle at the event
Over at BMW (booth D6), the new iX1 as well as the X2, first seen at the 2024 Singapore Motor Show, are available for viewing. Those who purchase their dream vehicle at the expo will stand a chance to win exciting prizes including an iPhone 15!
The Mercedes-Benz booth (D4), meanwhile, also has a host of new compact vehicles: The updated, all-electric EQA-Class and EQB-Class.
Sporting updated infotainment systems alongside a new black panel surface complete with numerous stars at the front, both models get a total output of 187bhp and a net battery capacity of 70.5kWh, allowing them both to post a maximum WLTP range of 569km.
Other highlights over at the Volkswagen and Skoda booths, include the special showcase of a trio of new electric models from the two brands combined: Skoda's Enyaq Coupe, and also the Volkswagen ID. 4 and its sportier twin, the ID. 4 GTX.
Pre-sales for the two brands' electric torchbearers have already begun, with visitors able to register their interest for the cars at Expo this weekend. There's also a host of vehicle accessories and grooming products available for those not ready to part with their current vehicle
Those looking for pre-owned cars will also be able to choose from a wide range of options from dealers including Car Choice, Cartimes, and Supreme Cars. Inchcape Certified Pre-Owned is also present at the event, and those who purchase a pre-owned car from it will be able to stand a chance to win prizes including an Apple iPhone 15 Pro or a host of petrol or NTUC vouchers.
