SSC North America bids farewell to the Ultimate Aero

The limited edition supercar from SSC North America will employ key elements that are set to feature in the upcoming Tuatara.
Five very unique, collectable Ultimate Aeros to be christened as the Ultimate Aero XT will feature an “I will hit Bugatti where it hurts” twin-turbocharged, dual-intercooled aluminum block V8 powertrain with an output of a massive 1300bhp. All that power is mated to a paddle shift-operated 7-speed transmission. Besides the engine and gearbox, the cooling, fuel and braking systems will be lifted from its successor - the Tuatara.
The XT has a 44/56 front-to-rear weight distribution, and runs on 19x9.5-inch alloy wheels, with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tyres.
The one-off black/red paint colours were chosen by the 5 customers and aims to stand apart from any other current Ultimate Aero. The paint scheme will never be used again for any future cars as well. Production of the Ultimate Aero will end after the sale of the 5 limited edition XT's.
“The demand for us to deliver additional Ultimate Aero's has been overwhelming," says Jerod Shelby, Founder, Lead Designer and CEO of SSC. "We have just raised the bar again by adding some of the cutting-edge elements from our Tuatara, to this very small production run of Ultimate Aero XT's."
