Singapore golf champions to compete in World Finals in Sydney

Mr. Ron Yeong, Mr. Lim Bee Khoon and Ms. Lim Hwee Sie have emerged triumphant winners in the Men's A (Handicaps up to 12), Men's B (Handicaps between 13-28) and Ladies' (Handicaps up to 28) categories respectively, at the PMGA Golf Tournament 2014, organised by Performance Motors Limited (PML).
The PMGA Golf Tournament 2014 was held over two days from 29th - 30th October on the verdant greens of Sentosa Golf Club. The fully subscribed event saw 288 golfers playing on the challenging Serapong course to prove their golfing mettle for their spot to represent Singapore in the world finals.
"The response to the PMGA Golf Tournament 2014 has been overwhelming and the annual event has since been a key highlight in our calendar of customer engagements. PMGA is designed for our customers' passion for golfing and their loyalty and support have been instrumental in the success of PMGA," said Mr. Alex Yap, Managing Director of PML.
The PMGA Golf Tournament 2014 serves as a qualifying tournament for the BMW Golf Cup International World Finals, which will be held at the New South Wales Golf Club in Sydney, Australia from 2nd to 7th March 2015.
The trio was the highest scorers in their categories under the stableford system 36 and has successfully vied for the three coveted spots to represent Singapore. They will be squaring off against the best amateur players from other parts of the world.
"I am excited and overwhelmed to win the PMGA golf tournament. I'm very proud to represent Singapore at the world finals in Sydney," said Mr. Ron Yeong, Winner of Men's Category A. When reached for comments, the other two representatives for Team Singapore, Mr. Lim Bee Khoon and Ms. Lim Hwee Sie have also expressed their excitement with the opportunity to play at the BMW Golf Cup International World Final.
