Sgcarmart celebrates its Premium Dealers and Star Merchants

Last Thursday evening (20 February 2025) saw some of the biggest names in Singapore's automotive aftermarket sector gathering once more at Mandarin Oriental for a night of celebration, as Sgcarmart's Premium Dealers and Star Merchants were honoured as part of its 2025 Annual Awards.
A quick recap before we proceed: As leaders in the dealership of pre-owned cars, Sgcarmart's Premium Dealers are awarded based not just on a track record of a minimum of five years of operations in the trade, but with sales volume as proof of their market leadership.
Sgcarmart's Star Merchant and Premium Dealer awards recognise the very best in the aftermarket sector - the former is awarded to outstanding product and service providers, while the latter is handed out to reputed pre-owned car dealers
They are also required to adhere consistently to the advertising guidelines stipulated by Sgcarmart, uphold good reputation standards and clean complaint records, and attain a high level of popularity on Sgcarmart based on page views. Only the top 3% of pre-owned car dealers qualify for the award in Singapore.
Sgcarmart's Star Merchants, on the other hand, are awarded based on their popularity (page views) on Sgcarmart, the attractiveness of their products and services (based on volume of enquiries), and also user ratings and reviews on Sgcarmart.
The first half of the evening saw reputed pre-owned car dealers receiving their esteemed Premium Dealer awards. Among this elite group are SG Car Choice, Republic Auto, Platinum Motoring, CarTimes Automobile, Lake View Credit, Mayfair Motoring. Notably, Mayfair Motoring and Republic Auto received their 14th consecutive awards, highlighting their long-standing commitment and excellence in the industry.
By a slightly differing token, a total of 33 Star Merchants were recognised at the 2025 Annual Awards with their range of services spanning the likes of air-conditioning maintenance and overhauls (Brocade Auto Pte Ltd), car leasing (CL Leasing), accident repairs and claims (KGC Workshop Pte Ltd), roadside assistance (Doctor Cars).
A good number of this year's Star Merchant title-recipients have clinched their awards for many years running
Speciality workshops in the fields of hybrid cars (D Motorwerkz), continental cars (Mirage Motorwerkz), electric cars (Esteem Performance), and for authorised insurance (Vin's Automotive Group) were also recognised alongside merchants that have become to go-to names for essential automotive products, such as tyres and rims (365 Automotive), car mats (ENZO Singapore), and in-car entertainment systems (Xtremez Audio Accessories).
Likewise, a good number of Sgcarmart's Star Merchants have been awarded for many years running; Revol Carz Makeover and Auto Image both enter 2025 with their 13th consecutive awards in the areas of paint protection and upholstery (seats and tops) respectively.
As guests dug in to their eight-course meal at Mandarin Oriental, they were treated to a good bought of laughter too as local standup comedian, Rishi Budhrani, took to the stage
It wasn't just a scrumptious eight-course meal and their hard-earned accolades that attendees enjoyed through the evening, however, but also endless bouts of laughter and a hearty singalong session.
Taking the stage in the first break was local standup comedian, actor and host, Rishi Budhrani, who entertained the audience thoroughly with his wisecracks about daily life in Singapore and about married life. Budhrani even managed to establish rapport with the audience with an important proposition: Someone in the crowd could potentially be his next car salesperson, seeing as the COE for his Subaru XV will expire in a couple of years.
A rousing live performance was also put up by singers, Karyn and Sheng Li, in the later half of the evening, who led guests in a mass-singalong session with both English and Chinese karaoke favourites
Guests were also treated to a rousing live performance by local singers, Karyn and Sheng Li (@iamnotagirl and @guitarstreet on Instagram), who charmed everyone present with karaoke must-haves including Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me, and Back Here Again (浪子回头) by Taiwanese rock band, EggPlantEgg.
The night concluded on a high with a crowd-favourite segment: An extensive lucky draw, which saw winners walking away with a Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact, a Dream Hair Glory hairdryer, and a Marshall Speaker (EMBERTON III) Black & Brass. The luckiest of the guests even took home an Apple MacBook Air 13-inch worth $1,899.
