Volkswagen has revealed a host of new features that are already set for the upcoming new Tiguan.
Up front, the firm's best-selling model worldwide for years will now be available with optional IQ.Light HD matrix head lights, said to be based on the system already deployed in the new Touareg.

On the inside, the cabin of the Volkswagen Tiguan has also been redesigned to deliver greater intuitiveness after taking into account customer feedback.
The car is now set to feature a 15-inch infotainment system, while the centre console will also house a rotary control, complete with its own mini-screen. This rotary control can be used to change between drive modes, select the ambient lighting colour, or change the radio volume.
Elsewhere in the cabin, the Tiguan gets newly developed seats. At the front, these will take the form of ergoActive seats, which come complete with pneumatic four-way lumbar support adjustment and a pneumatic 10-chamber pressure point massage function in the backrests. These seats will pair with an increase in effective noise insulation to ensure that comfort levels in the Tiguan are raised.
Over to the drivetrain, the new Volkswagen Tiguan will also now come exclusively with a dual-clutch transmission, with the gear selector now taking the form of a column on the right of the steering wheel. The Volkswagen Tiguan will be offered with a range of turbodiesel engines, turbocharged petrol engines, mild hybrid turbocharged petrol engines, and plug-in hybrid drivetrains.

Further down the car, the new Tiguan is now based off a new generation MQB evo platform.
This new chassis will work with a new generation of Volkswagen's DCC adaptive suspension control system, although those looking for more performance will be able to have their Tiguan with an optional DCC Pro system, which utilises two-valve shock absorbers.
The car will also get the vehicle dynamics manager from the current Golf GTI, capable of managing the various electronic differential locks, and the lateral dynamics of the vehicle via the shock absorbers in the DCC Pro system, delivering a more neutral, agile, and precise vehicle.
Volkswagen has sold more than 7.4 million examples of the Tiguan since the SUV first made market debut in 2007. The reveal of this new Volkswagen Tiguan is set to take place in the third quarter of 2023, while the car is set to arrive in Singapore come early 2024. Volkswagen Singapore states that this new Tiguan will be available here with the eTSI mild hybrid drivetrain for the first time when it arrives.
