Mercedes-Benz Classic has announced that it will be collaborating with renowned Savile Row tailors Henry Poole & Co at the Concours on Savile Row in London come 22 May 2024.
The firm is showcasing a Mercedes 75 hp Spider from 1907, an authentic replica of the first ever motorbike - the Daimler Reitwagen (Riding Car) from 1885, the Mercedes-Benz 300SL (catch our review of the current Mercedes-AMG SL here), as well as the modern S680 Guard 4Matic (and read our review of the current Mercedes-Benz S-Class here).
Generations of the Poole family have served customers since James Poole started stitching military uniforms during the Napoleonic Wars. To this day, Henry Poole & Co continue to offer a bespoke service that is cut and made on site.
In the same fashion, Mercedes-Benz Classic Centers and its workshops are leading centres of excellence, offering owners of classic Mercedes-Benz automobiles a comprehensive range of services from maintenance and repair to factory restoration all in accordance with the highest manufacturer standards. The firm significantly expanded its workshop capacities in Germany early in 2024 so it now offers an in-house saddlery alongside an extended metalworking department.
