Mercedes-AMG unveils new GT63 Pro

With the Porsche 911 Turbo S and Aston Martin Vantage both offering upwards of 600bhp, Mercedes-AMG has opted to up the ante of its GT to make sure it stays competitive.
And this is the product of that upgrade. It's called the Mercedes-AMG GT63 Pro 4Matic+, and it still makes use of a 4.0-litre V8, but this engine now delivers a total of 603bhp, a relatively small bump from the 577bhp that the GT63 4Matic+ (without the 'Pro', that is). There's also more torque available: With 850Nm now offered instead of the 800Nm from before.
Enlarged intakes in the front apron of the car feed air to better cool an uprated 4.0-litre V8 under the bonnet, which now produces a total of 603bhp
This upgraded power means the car will still take 3.2 seconds to complete the century sprint, but AMG is keen to point out that the sprint from zero to 200km/h now takes just 10.9 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster than the AMG GT63.
On the outside, you'll notice that this upgraded car now sports a new front apron with enlarged intakes to draw more air into its twin radiators, and complete with additional carbon fibre air deflectors. There's also a fixed rear wing on the tailgate, and new air deflectors on the car's underbody, said to be similar to those on the Mercedes-AMG ONE. Combined, these all reduce aerodynamic lift at the front axle by 30kg, and at the rear axle by 15kg.
Braking power for the new Mercedes-AMG GT63 Pro 4Matic+ comes via a standard AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system. This system makes use of six-piston fixed callipers which grip 420mm discs at the front, and one-piston floating callipers at the rear. These are said to be the largest standard ceramic brake discs available from Mercedes-AMG.
