Mazda3 and Mazda6 MPS get new power kits from BBR

BBR is offering three different engine packages for the Mazda3 MPS and Mazda6 MPS performance models, which are both powered by a 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. An extra kit for the suspension is also available.The entry-level Stage 1 engine kit includes a reprogrammed ECU that lifts output from 256bhp and 380Nm of torque to 290bhp and 447Nm of torque. The second stage conversion, meanwhile, adds extras such as new turbo inlet hoses and downpipes plus a custom exhaust system that increase performance numbers to 318bhp and 502Nm of torque.
Finally, the third and most aggressive package enhances the Stage 2 kit with a new front mounted intercooler, and a choice of two different turbochargers, a BBR Turbo that raises output to 350bhp and a Garret hybrid GT28 turbocharger that allows for up to 400bhp.
