Eurokars Group has announced the availability of the new Mazda CX-8 here in Singapore.
With the CX-8, Mazda now has a total of four crossover and SUV offerings here. They include the Mazda CX-30, the CX-5, and the CX-9 SUV.
Featuring the latest, more mature iteration of Mazda's KODO design language, the CX-8's sheetmetal offers a strong, mature and dignified look.
The CX-8 is positioned to satisfy the diverse needs of customers, from needing more space or increased seating capacity, whilst still offering the same intrinsic attention to detail and quality that we've come to know and love for Mazdas today.
The CX-8 offers two seating configurations - a six or seven-seater - with both variants available for sale in Singapore.
Mazda assures comfort in either configuration of the CX-8 you choose, with a cabin environment that is aimed at fully utilising the available space, allowing for occupants to sit comfortably by adopting a natural posture.
Passengers in the second-row are assured the same level of comfort as those in the front, with cupholders and USB ports available in all three rows of seating.
For more loading capacity, the third-row can be folded to offer up to 775 litres of boot space, and 1,727 litres with second row seats knocked down.
To add to the CX-8's comfort abilities, Mazda has also taken strides when it comes to soundproofing to create an even quieter cabin environment.
The quietness in the third-row is achieved by applying an adhesive that bonds the glass to the liftgate in a different position, helping to supress sound resonance. The area and the number of layers of coating-type vibration-control material under the luggage floor were increased as well.

A 7.0-inch display mounted on the centre of the instrument cluster can show a variety of information directly in the driver's line of sight, reducing the amount of eye movement required.
The CX-8 also aims to satisfy drivers looking for dynamic performance behind the wheel. The naturally aspirated 2.5-litre SKYACTIV engine features notable technologies such as precision manufactured intake ports, three-stage split fuel injection and a coolant control valve, which further accentuate the car's real-world performance.

GVC Plus also offers more confidence-inspiring controllability in various situations, by lightly applying brake force to the outer wheels as the steering wheel is returned to the centre position when cornering.
Mazda's i-ACTIVSENSE suite of safety assistance features are also available in the CX-8. Across all variants, the full suite includes adaptive LED head lights, Lane-Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Advanced Smart City Brake Support with day and night pedestrian detection, and Driver Attention Alert.
The CX-8 is also equipped with a 360-degree camera with eight parking sensors.
In addition, the CX-8 Luxury trim also receives Blind Sport Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
As of writing, three variants of the Mazda CX-8 will be available for sale in Singapore. The variants include the CX-8 Elegance 7 Seater, Luxury 7 Seater, and the CX-8 Luxury 6 Seater.
The Open Market Value of the Mazda CX-8 will be between $32,000 to $34,000. Prices will start from $153,888.
