Ford's vehicle-to-load Pro Power Onboard technology will also allow customers to power high-draw power tools and appliances at a worksite or remote campsite by plugging them into the power outlets embedded in both the cargo bed as well as the cabin of the plug-in hybrid Ranger. This means that noisy and bulky generators can be left at home, leaving more space in the cargo bed for other gear and equipment.
Production of the Ford Range Plug-in hybrid is scheduled to start in 2024, while first deliveries to customers are set to commence in early 2025.
