The new 2024 Ford Mustang GT is making its NASCAR pace car debut at the Martinsville Speedway in Virginia, U.S.A. This will mark the first of seven NASCAR races that the seventh-generation Mustang GT is scheduled to pace in 2023.
Ford states that the Grabber Blue Mustang GT pace car is stock other than pace car visibility items that include the light bar and custom Ford Performance and Mustang exterior graphics. Power for the pace car as well as the production models peaks at a total 479bhp if the 5.0-litre Coyote V8 engine is specified.
This V8 also gets an active-valve performance exhaust system, allowing the car to deliver a V8-iconic sound, alongside a dual intake and dual throttle body induction system that allow it to deliver a total of 566Nm of torque.
