Daniel Bilski has won the Audi Sport Asia Trophy 2020. The B-Quik Absolute Racing driver secured his points on his way to winning his first overall Thailand Super Series (TSS) championship with the Audi R8 LMS GT3. As winner of the inaugural Trophy, Bilski takes home a cash prize worth worth $80,922.
With the Audi Sport Asia Trophy, Audi Sport customer racing Asia uses a points-based coefficient system to tally the results of all Audi FIA bronze-graded customers competing across the region's different races and series in the full range of Audi Sport customer racing machinery. As a result, all customers fielding Audi cars in the region compete together for the same prize.
"We saw 41 passionate Audi customers compete against each other this year in the Audi Sport Asia Trophy. The final standings are proof of the concept, with a mix of both GT and TCR customers in the top three," said Alexander Blackie, Manager of Audi Sport customer racing Asia.
Over the intense four-race Thailand Super Series season, Bilski scored an overall race win, two additional podiums and a fifth place finish alongside his teammate, Audi Sport Asia driver Sandy Stuvik.
This won the pair the TSS Supercar GT3 title and by doing so unlocked additional Audi Sport Asia Trophy points equivalent to another overall race win. Bilski finished the season with an accumulated a total of 2,478 points to win the first-ever Audi Sport Asia Trophy.
Runner-up in the season-long competition is Wu Yifan who took his 326 Racing Team Audi RS 3 LMS to second place in the TCR China Am Driver's Cup. Ma Ka Chun's Audi R8 LMS GT3 victories in December 2019's Circuit Hero 700km Endurance Race and the Zhuhai Motorsports Association club race opening round earned him a third place finish for the Audi Sport Asia trophy.
