E | $112,901 | ▲ $2,899 | 202 | 403 |
The first round of bidding for March saw Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums climbing for Cat B and Cat E, while premiums for Cat A took only a slight hit.
The jump in premiums for Cat B and E could be a result of dealers submitting more aggressive bids to fulfil the orders they have received during the Singapore Motor Show. Cars here are typically sold with a six-bid guaranteed COE package and the next bidding session will see the end of this six-bid window for all purchases secured during the weekend of the motor show. This could also explain why both Cat B and Cat E saw a high number of bids submitted this session, with the total number of bids submitted this round surpassing all previous bidding sessions of the year, save for the COE bidding session prior to the start of the motor show itself.
