Bridgstone Tyre Sales Singapore Pte Ltd (BSTSG) has announced that the new Potenza RE-11S Type RH motorsport racing tyre is now available for sale in Singapore. Developed from Bridgestone's motorsport technologies, including the brand's Formula One expertise, the Potenza RE-11S is designed to perform under extreme conditions and offers high-speed performance on the racing circuit.

On Saturday, the 11th of June, Mr. Yusoff took to the Sepang International Circuit to put the new RE-11S tyres through its paces, as part of the Traction Circle Club track day. As the RE-11S are not street legal, BSTSG technicians had to swap out the tyres on his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X for a set of RE-11S.
According to Mr. Yusoff, the new RE-11S tyres performed well on the newly repaved circuit. Compared to the previous generation product, the Potenza RE-55S, the new Potenza RE-11S offers improved traction and control, and was notably more durable and stable through the tyre's heat cycles. As the Sepang circuit was recently repaved, and features some changes made to certain sections of the track (the negative camber on Turn 15 being the most significant one), Mr. Yusoff took some time to adjust and get used to the new surface. He best time on the day was 02:26:795, but he is confident that the RE-11S will allow him to achieve and surpass his 02:25 record.
The session was interrupted by a bout of rain, but as he returned to the track in the later part of the day, Mr. Yusoff was impressed by the tyre's traction on a damp but drying track. He highlighted that he was able to attack corners much more aggressively, and was surprised by how well the tyres held up on a damp track.
"Potenza RE-11S provides superior grip performance for the car on racing circuits, enabling the driver to tackle any exreme circuit corner with high precision and control. The responsive handling gives the driver assured confidence to push the tyres to its limit and clock in the shortest lap time," shared Mr. Dennis Lee, Technical Manager of BSTSG.
The new Bridgestone Potenza RE-11S is only a racing circuit legal tyre and is not allowed to be used on street roads.

As part of the Potenza RE-11S launch, BSTSG also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with racing driver Mohammad Yusoff. As part of the MOU signed at Putrajaya Shangri-La, BSTSG will be the official tyre sponsor for Mr. Yusoff, and a team of Bridgestone technicians will accompany him to all track days and events to assist him on tyre matters.
