BMW has introduced a new M Mesh Edition for the X2.
The new car gives the BMW X2 an even more distinctive and visually appealing edge, thanks to an M mesh kidney grille and exclusive new colour combinations.
The X2 M Mesh Edition sports a pronounced three-dimensional mesh grille inspired by racing cars.
It also introduces a new signature Frozen Black-Brown metallic colour - a mocha-like shade - that can be found on the exclusive inserts in the bumper trim, the prominent cladding on the side skirts and doors, and the wheel arch trim.
The special edition model can also be specified at no extra cost with bold new decals on the bonnet, the sides of the front bumper, and the front and rear doors. In bold Orange, they provide the perfect complement to the new Brooklyn Grey metallic paint finish exclusive to the M Mesh Edition, as well as the Sapphire Black metallic exterior shade.
If one of the other paint shades - Alpine White, Phytonic Blue metallic or Sunset Orange metallic - is specified, the decals come in Black. The colour of the decals is shared by the inserts for the new M aerodynamic wheels, which are available in 19-inch and 20-inch sizes.

The M Mesh model also gets a bi-colour interior appointment as standard.
The exclusive covers for the M sport seats with integral head restraints and the rear seat bench feature a blend of Dakota leather in eye-catching Mocha and Anthracite-coloured Alcantara, and feature contrast stitching in Orange, which can also be found on the instrument panel and centre console.
This creates a colour connection with the decals at the front end and sides of the body, as well as the accents in the exclusive M aerodynamic wheels
The M Mesh Edition also gets M stainless steel pedals fitted as standard, along with an M leather steering wheel and a car key with an exclusive M identifier. The interior trim strips are in Aluminium Hexagon Anthracite, the BMW Individual headliner in sporty Anthracite. Exclusive LED fibre-optic light guides in the door trim add further flourishes of colour.
The entry-level member of the special edition's lineup is the BMW X2 sDrive18i, which utilises a 1.5-litre three-cylinder unit that generates 134bhp and delivers a peak torque of 220Nm. It is also available as a BMW X2 xDrive20i, which utilises a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that outputs 176bhp and 280Nm of torque.
There is additionally the option to get the special edition car as a BMW X2 xDrive25e, which sports a hybrid-specific all-wheel drive drivetrain that delivers a total system output of 217bhp and 385Nm of torque.
