BMW has introduced a wide variety of options for customers who desire to customise their very own new BMW M2, with the introduction of BMW M Performance Parts for its new six-cylinder performance car.
The parts are not all show and no go though, as BMW claims that the components were developed with BMW M's motor racing expertise, and the experience it has gained over five decades. The parts have been tuned to match the two-door model's specific characteristics.
For the exterior, the M Performance front splitter carbon fibre and M Performance air intake trim carbon fibre help to give the new BMW M2 more presence on the road.
Customers wishing to give the car's side profile a sharper visual edge have a choice of M Performance side skirt attachments in carbon fibre, M Performance carbon fibre side spats front and rear, and M exterior carbon fibre mirror caps.
Airflow around the vehicle can be optimised with the M Performance carbon fibre rear lip spoiler and M Performance carbon fibre rear diffuser. Meanwhile, the M Performance carbon fibre rear spoiler and M Performance roof edge spoiler in high gloss black add a sporting edge.
A titanium M Performance silencer system is also available for the new BMW M2, boasting reduced weight, a distinctive design and racier acoustics.
Its front pipes are made from lightweight stainless steel while the rear silencer has an all titanium construction. The M Performance silencer system represents an 8kg weight saving over the standard fit system.
For enthusiastic drivers who desire even more agility and sharper dynamics from their M2, the M Performance suspension is available as a retrofit item.
Its coilover design with height adjustable spring cups at the front and rear axle allows the ride height to be lowered by up to 10mm as required.
M Performance forged wheels are a highlight, with a cross-spoke design that can be ordered in a choice of M Frozen Gold Bronze or M Jet Black matt.
For the interior, the M Performance interior trim panels in carbon fibre or Alcantara are offered in combination with Alcantara knee pads, which help to bring out a more focused vibe in the cockpit.
