Bentley brings out its true flavour on local shores direct from Crewe factory

Bentley has assembled a large array of exhibits here on local shores to give the local public a better understanding of the marque and its standing heritage. Held at the Bentley showroom on Leng Kee Road, the showcase highlights the intrinsic attention to details that was paid to every example that left the factory, bearing the winged-badge that we have grown familiar with.

Staying true to its origins, each Bentley remains exquisite to the last details to this day. Interior fascia and waistrails for each Bentley are painstakingly handcrafted, with pieces on each flank mirror-imaged. Hence, each complete set takes no less than five weeks to complete. The building techniques, passed down through the generations, stood as proof of the marque’s excellence in coachbuilding. A craftsman from the Crewe factory is also present to demonstrate the meticulous skills that go into every piece of trim in a Bentley.

Starring the exhibit is inevitably the Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible – the actual car that broke the ice speed record. With four-time World Rally champion Juha Kankkunnen at the helm, the bio-fuelled Supersports Convertible clocked a speed record of 330.695km/h. This further demonstrates the masculine attribute of the British Sportscar.

Assembled at the showroom is also the largest fleet from Bentley Motors in the Southeast Asia region, comprising of the flagship Mulsanne, Continental Flying Spur, Continental GTC W12, and the latest models to join the English fleet – the Continental GT and GTC V8.

Sharing his thoughts at the launch is Robin Peel, Head of Marketing and Communications Bentley, Asia Pacific,” There are many unmistakable characteristics that define a Bentley – handcrafted luxury, distinctive design and breathtaking power and performance, as well as a refined and exhilarating driving experience”. He added,” The combination of these characteristics makes the Bentley Brand so unique, and we have brought to Singapore directly from our factory, a ground breaking display that will bring alive the Bentley Brand to our guests and give them a real flavour of Crewe, and how we build our cars.”

So hop down to have a taste of Crewe: The World of Bentley will be open to all visitors from 2nd to 15^th August, at the Bentley Showroom on Leng Kee Road.
