Aston Martin has revised production numbers of collectible V12 Zagato

Limited Edition production cars are quite the norm these days, and are usually rare and pretty expensive. While initial production numbers are pre-determined during the planning process, production numbers can see a mild increase if there is added interests, but rarely a decrease.

In a rather unusual move by Aston Martin, reports have indicated a reduction in numbers for the Aston Martin V12 Zagato. Initially to be manufactured for a 150 pieces, Aston has decreased the Italian beauty numbers to a scarce 101 units. The V12 Zagato was announced for a limited production run after participating in races at the Nurburgring and was created to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1962 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato. Costing only £330,000 (S$645,437). It is the second most expensive model in the British moniker’s lineup next to only the seven-figure One-77 Halo masterpiece.

Though no reasons have been revealed, rumours for the reduced prodcution run, are a lack of buyers. Truth be told, it is a worthwhile investment for current buyers due to the gained value to an already rare collectible piece of moving art.
