All-electric Mazda EZ-60 SUV unveiled at 2025 Auto Shanghai

The all-new Mazda EZ-60 electric crossover SUV is the second EV model developed and manufactured by Changan Mazda Motor Corporation (Changan Mazda), a joint venture between Mazda and Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd (Changan Automobile).

Available in both EV and PHEV variants, the EZ-60 follows a design themed called 'FUTURE + SOUL x MODERN'. Air passageways at the tip of the bonnet and other points create a futuristic impression and contribute to better aerodynamics and improved efficiency at high speeds.

The Mazda EZ-60 features 50:50 front/rear weight distribution, strut suspension at the front and multi-link suspension at the rear, and electronically controlled dampers that can respond to a variety of driving situations

The driving range of the EZ-60's EV variant is expected to be around 600km, with the PHEV variant expected to exceed 1,000km per refuelling.

It sports smart features that enhance safety and convenience. This includes the smart cabin that can be operated by voice, touch, or gesture; the intelligent drive to help the driver avoid an accident or reduce damage; and the intelligent parking that can be operated by voice even from outside the vehicle.

Inside, a 26.45-inch 5K integrated flat-panel centre display and a virtual 3D heads-up display helps to show information and visuals in front of the driver prominently, supporting safety and security.

The specific Mazda EZ-60 pictured above is, as of now, the brand's planned production model and comes with RWD and a five-person seating capacity

Additionally, a powerful and realistic sound experience is delivered through 23 speakers and a 3D sound system. The headrest speakers also allow the driver and front passenger to listen to different music.

Scheduled to go on sale in China in 2025, this new model will expand Mazda's EV lineup in the Chinese market together with the Mazda EZ-6, which was launched in 2024.
