Alfa Romeo tests 33 Stradale prototype at Nardo circuit

With the '00' developmental prototype of the new 33 Stradale model, the Alfa Romeo engineering team has completed an intense test session at the Nardo Ring located at the Nardo Technical Centre (NTC), focusing on its driving dynamics and performance in extreme conditions at high speeds.
Considered the fastest circular car track in the world, with a diameter of 4km and a length of 13km, the circuit offers different inclines and a low parabolic profile.
Ahead of the car's first delivery to one of its 33 lucky international customers taking place in late December 2024, parameters such as aerodynamics, top speed, maximum temperatures, propulsive cooling systems, and cabin soundproofing were monitored and validated.
The high-speed testing validated its targeted top speed of 333km/h and a 0-100km/h time of under three seconds. The car sports a 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine delivering over 629bhp, an eight-speed DCT gearbox, rear-wheel drive, and an electronic limited-slip differential.
The car offers two drive modes: Strada (Road) and Pista (Track). The Strada mode delivers smooth power delivery, soft suspension, and active exhaust valves open only above 4,000rpm.
In Pista mode, power is at its peak, with rigid suspension, rapid gearshift, and active exhaust valves that are always open, as well as the Partenza Veloce (Quick Start) procedure, which maximises acceleration by avoiding wheel slippage.
