2013 Mercedes GLK facelift revealed and ready for New York

Ahead of its slated debut at the New York Auto Show, Mercedes has released the first images and details of the new 2013 GLK-Class. The compact SUV benefits from a mid-cycle facelift and a new clean diesel engine.The new engine will be found in the GLK250 Bluetec 4Matic in early 2013. The twin-turbocharged 2.1-Llitre four-cylinder unit produces 201hp and 500 Nm of torque and will only be available in four-wheel-drive. The engine line-up is also complimented by an upgraded version of the naturally aspirated 3.5-Litre V6 unit of the GLK350. Power output has been raised by 34 horses up to 302hp whilst torque is rated at 369Nm.
The facelifed GLK is easily identifiable by its new front bumper fascia with remodelled fog-lights as well as revised LED infused headlights. The wheels have also been refreshed along with the new taillights.
