please beware of this unscrupulous vehicle motor workshop located at Seletar Camp.

The brake light switch stopper for my car broke due to wear and tear, causing the brake light to be on permanently. As they are nearby my workplace, I stop by Lek Chuan Autocraft to repair the anomaly and was told to leave my car there as they are busy. After about an hour, I was told that the job is done and I was charge $20 for “replace of brake stopper rubber”.

3 days later, I discover the same incident happens again at around 6.30pm and the brake light was on permanently. I contact the workshop and was told that they are close, and have to come back tomorrow to check. As I was uncomfortable with leaving my brake light on throughout the night, I brought my car to another workshop for repair that evening.

It was at the other workshop where they discovered that the brake light stopper was not replaced, but was instead taped together using rubber tape.

This goes to show how unscrupulous Lek Chuan Autocraft is, by solving the problem using rubber tape and charging $20 for it.

Luckily it’s only a brake light stopper this time round. If they have replaced a defective brake, the consequence might be more serious. This kind of workshop is just looking for a quick-fix solution without consideration for consequences. I would not be surprise that if they need any parts during a repair, they would have plucked the parts from other vehicles that are parking at their workshop waiting for repair or servicing.

I am boycotting their service even though it is convenient for me, would rather go back to my regular workshop next time. You have been warned, so take note when using their services.

Resprayed three panels with them this week and was quite impressed by the job done. Colour coding is exact and the quality of the paint job is really worth the money that I spent. Price wise is a bit higher than most shops, but for the quality, I think it was really worth it. Quality of paint was good. Overall, thumbs up for Kelvin...

Their clerk's attitude is really bad. Tried to act smart and ask about problems with my engine when she actually know less things than me.
