Volkswagen CC R-Line 2.0 TSI (A) Review
The people at Wolfsburg have moved their sporty trim level R-Line over to the niche 'four-door coupe' - the Volkswagen CC.

Comforting ride provided in tip top condition, a disaster when ECU panel lighted... `
Relatively, this PCC is a lovely coupe, however the coupe tends to have this common problem of the window doing a double clicks sounds upon opening or closing doors, really irked me plus the interior has wind noises throughout the journey. Driver's seat door handle placed too far away, not easily reach, the button side mirrors motors spoilt easily and it cost a bomb, even Merc cost a fraction of it. A wee bit tamed looking exterior< Passat coupe must have the road presence minus the frills, improve on the grille and front head light, looks dated and running out of idea

Unreliable car `
Owning it for nearly 2 years, have been sending in and out of the service center. After sales team have improved a lot, unlike the past which they don't even bother to look in the case you lodge or complain. Every few months, dashboard will appear new warning sign. =(

Unreliable, faulty engine and absolutely the worse after sales customer service `
The review title explains it all. I strongly discourage anyone from making purchases at Volkswagen. The car broke down on the 3rd day due to faulty engine while it was in motion. Call the 24hrs tow service, and took them almost 2 hours to arrive. The car still chokes once in a while, extremely unrealiable. Once they close the sale, there shall be no more service. Irresponsible service and sales managers. Good luck calling them for a service appointment, no one will ever answer the phone. Buyers beware. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

Great looks with great features! `
Took collection 3 weeks ago and loving it. Positioned to compete with the way more expensive Merc CLS, latest BMW 6 Series GT, Audi A5, it came with all the features that I would have wanted, except for suction doors like in the BMW F10: Navigation via GPS, Reverse Camera, Bluetooth to iPhone, iPhone direct connector (ability to charge), Voice Recognition, Easy Open boot (hands-free), park assist, and of course keyless entry, memory/electric seats, rain-sensing wipers, dual climate control, and park distance control. I am a novice with assessing the performance of cars, and do not have a lot of experience. I felt a marked improvement in the handling and acceleration compared to my previous Korean-make car, but i guess obviously so. Personally, i always liked the shape of coupes, but after having a baby six months ago, a 2-door car was just not practical. The CC provided a relatively reasonable compromise with a 4-door sedan-like seat layout, albeit with a little less legroom for passengers at the back (sales exec called it more than 3 series, but less than 5 series), and lower clearing height for passengers entering the car. The frameless windows came as the kicker to complete the overall sporty look of the car. Other intangible factors I considered were relatively higher re-sale value from a more recognized brand vs other more obscure brands from other European auto-makers, recently launched model (April 2012), high OMV relative to purchase price (i.e. lower distributorship margins (<20%) compared to ~40% for Merc, BMW, Audi), and what i thought to be relatively good fuel consumption (see comment below).
