Was looking around for a family car and was unsure at the start what vehicle to get as there was so many options around. Was introduced to the Niro By Dom Wong at C&C and was thoroughly impressed especially when compared to similar CATA vehicles especially the tech and build quality. It was super spacious inside and the test drive was done professionally by Dom. He brought us through different road conditions and got us to experience the car's ride quality and road handling. After one week of driving, no regrets with the purchase. Smooth ride everyday.

Got an afternoon to drop by as did not go for the launch of Kodiaq. First looks on the exterior wows me off with the span across horizontal lights in the grills and a calmer looks and pairs with both front and back LED lights too. One feature that I must say in accordance to its slogan "Simply Clever" Is that earlier models only can lock and unlock doors from the front, whereby now can be done in any of the 4 doors. Seems to me this new Kodiaq is higher and perhaps wider too, without looking at actual dimensions to determine it. Only drawback is the removal of the door protector that exist in the previous model when it first launched with Ambition series of 1.4L and 2.0L only (before the introduction of other many variants). This launch also lost its sunroof too. Interior is another fresh look for the Kodiaq as a newer dashboard with virtual cockpit which is more sturdier, and able to withstand our local weather too, unlike other brands focus on looks and have a thin screen but might lose the reliability sense. Comes with new 2 spoke steering, sportier and a new gear shift taken off from its siblings (which you can see in the new 2024 VW Tiguan) that is by the side, similar to Mercedes C Class or E Class BUT the shifting is twist up for gear D which differs from them. The large infotainment screen can be of an eyesore due to its size unlike the previous models are nicely flushed in BUT once you see its features embedded in it and the highly customizable settings to the car, you will forget about the eyesore size of it. Another "Simply Clever" Of this Kodiaq is the 3 button inter function changable of aircon, drive mode and audio features of the vehicle. It can toggle between the 3 by pressing it and navigate it by the dials. GREAT. Drive off is smooth and not jerky at all, unlike other petrol with mild hybrids I tested have a light jerk effect when you move off either by self releasing handbrake or step to go for auto release it. The smoothness of its new engine paired with hybrid was quiet for this Kodiaq BUT when you engage to S or Sports mode, its not as agile and agressive to roar like its previous model (NOT the RS one, the normal 1.4L one instead). Overall, for the new looks, features, gadgets make this Kodiaq another great 5+2 SUV to have for its price, compared to others of the same size and category. Let us wait in 2025 for other variants.
