BMW -M4 Coupe -Most Powerful and Stable M3/M4 til date
Was given the opportunity to test drive this beast over the weekends and I must say that it was one of the best M car I've ever driven till date. An even better experience than that of a Porsche Carrera S.
This car has grown quite a fair bit as compared to the outgoing model. It is really grounded and packs a punch despite it being heavier with slightly over 500bhp. The second I put my foot down, I can feel the torque pulling me back into the seat. Throttle response is impressive and the ZF gearbox is more refined than the dual clutch gearbox that the previous model used making the car more comfortable to drive. BMW has upped its game where it comes to interior and exterior styling. The interior with the kylami orange seats was simply mind blowing. The interior door knob with a symbian design resembles the one in the lamboghini huracan which I drove previously. Metal finishes of the buttons located at the centre console exude both class and style. Sound system is also fantastic with Harmon and Kardon speakers. Even though it is a coupe, it is still fairly spacious. The I drive system is easy to use and there are many new features including a m drift analyser which I doubt anyone could use on Singapore roads.
As for the exterior when I first saw the design on pictures, I wasn't very impressed. BMW told a bold step in designing the new front grilles which is both futuristic and nostalgic taking the design from those from older generations. The look of that controversial grille will definitely grow on you. The car comes standard with the competition package which boasts many carbon fibre parts. Carbon fibre mirrors, roof, rear lip, rear diffuser. I was told the non competition package which is in the form of manual transmission is not available here at least for now. The rims are 19 in the front and 20 in the back giving the whole car an aggressive stance.... Read More
