What we like
Looks good, feels good
Air suspension does its job very well
Cabin is clean, tidy and minimalistic
Ample space for five occupants
There's a lot going for the car, making it quite bang for buck
What we don’t like
No option for a seven-seater configuration

Very capable, large luxury SUV with lots of features at a fraction of the price
Was contemplating an Audi Q8 but the price was a huge turn off. However, I got to know about the VW Touareg from a friend and decided to own a used one. The car drives completely like the Audi Q8 at a fraction of the price, yet it comes with more options and best of all, have the same ARF.
The equipment that the Audi Q8 didn't offer were Panoramic Roof, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning as well as Lane Assist.
Drive was, it was exactly the same as the Audi Q8. Engine and gearbox are exactly the same part number that came with the vehicle. This makes it even more comforting to know that the car has parts readily available without fear of long-term waiting time for repairs or maintenance.
The car exudes a large and commanding presence on the road. Not only that, but it is also an uncommon car, and most people would think it's a VW Tiguan.... Read More
A very capable luxury barge on and off road.
I own the 2022 Touareg R-Line, coming from a 2017 Tiguan R-line and the experience couldn't be more different. The Touareg does feel like a cheaper, but no less capable, Audi Q8, since they both share the same platform, engine, and excellent ZF 8-speed transmission. Volkswagen has done its part to fit out its flagship with I guess, the best parts and materials in its line-up, and I do have to say the quality of finish is more Audi-like than Volkswagen.
The equipment list has almost everything you could ask for, and the digital dash and infotainment is much improved over from the Tiguan, which has a similar system. The driving experience is that of a tall, large and wide SUV, with a commanding view of the road. The engine has a slight delay, but then builds up smoothly once it gets going. Pick up is smooth and fast, thanks to the ZF auto trans. The air suspension is very comfortable, and excellent over long distances.
So far, my Touareg has been trouble-free and solid, just like my Tiguan. I expect many years of reliable performance from this luxury barge... Read More
