Alfa Romeo -4C -Petrolheads will love this car
This car is so raw and powerful, it is addictive to drive. Driving the 4C reminds you how pleasurable driving is. The attention you get on the road and fellow carlovers/petrolheads approaching when you are stationary is unbelievable.... Read More
Alfa Romeo -4C -Cash, Credit Card, Condo, Country Club and 4C
The 4C roosts amidst the sub-species of sports coupes where Spartan interiors don't matter, where every grain of road can be felt, where the steering is so light it seems to float and hard suspensions make the car as rigid as your forearm gripping on rocky edges. In the very name of driving pleasure, the Elise was the most hipster-worthy minimalist coupe you could live with for ages. The 4C aimed to push that envelope while being purist enough to avoid losing loyalists like how Porsche did with power steering. The 4C is a different kind of fast despite its "Meager" 0-100 figures which i really don't trust. Faster-on-paper Superveloces or even P1s rumbling down Orchard are nothing like the 4C. Perhaps the supercars have so much to weigh them down - not to mention sophisticated rear spoilers packing on downforce as unnecessary as Kim Kardashian's rear. The 4C has a minimalist spoiler, is dangerously light, turbocharged and rear wheel driven - somehow makes this very bullet-like. The 4C succeeds the aged Toyota MR2 in terms of flirting with disaster. The unaided steering can unsettle new drivers and begs the question of what the insurance premium would be for the 4C. Its quick and nimble driving is akin to the common pond dragonfly. Skirting through traffic and cutting people off is almost second nature - further aided by its 18" Front and 19" Rear that makes handling a godsend. The only misfit is its gorgeous Italian styling that lends an elegance overload unfit for its brat-worthy performance. On the downside, there is no testosterone boosting deep rumble like those from the meatier supercars. It sounds like your angry girlfriend's indefinite scream rather than the suave masculine roar from pricier super cars. The unrefined cockpit also lets you hear everything from the engine, the turbo spool and wastegate whoosh, as well as tyre roll. While the Elise is more on overall gradual feel, the 4C wants to be quick and the blend of turbo kicking in at 2000 rpm, early torque and speed feels like being on a powerboat skipping through water. Momentary bursts of not feeling the road and then feeling it completely may not be the most comfortable experience, but it delivers a whole different kind of euphoria.... Read More
