Volkswagen Multivan BlueMotion and Edition 25 unveiled at Geneva

The Multivan BlueMotion comes with a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that produces 113bhp and 250Nm of torque, which helps to significantly improve fuel economy for the seven-seater vehicle. Volkswagen says that the Multivan BlueMotion now uses just 6.4 litres of fuel per 100km. The Multivan BlueMotion also comes with regenerative braking which supplies energy to charge the battery, as well as stop/start system.

The Multivan Edition 25, meanwhile, was built to commemorate 25 years of the Multivan, and features a matte black roof and black 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as black door handles, matte black paint on the underside of the front bumper, black decal trim at the back and side sills.

The Multivan Edition 25 is also available in a choice of three colours for the exterior, Candy White, Salsa Red or Metallic Silver. Additionally, Volkswagen has given the Multivan Edition 25 a sport chassis and upgraded anti-roll bar.

Volkswagen is said to be planning a Transporter Edition 25 model, based on the cargo van version of the Multivan, which will come with 4Motion four-wheel-drive, DSG dual-clutch gearbox, and 180bhp, to celebrate 25 years of all-wheel-drive on the Transporter.
