Think the 362bhp of the Mercedes-Benz GLS450 or the 375bhp from the BMW X6 xDrive40i isn't quite enough for you? Audi might have what you're looking for.
The firm has unveiled the new RS Q8, which offers up a total of 591bhp. But if that's still not enough, there's also an RS Q8 performance, which offers up a whopping total of 632bhp. Both versions of the new RS Q8 come equipped with an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox, as well as permanent quattro all-wheel drive.
The Audi RS Q8 now gets a new honeycomb pattern within its grille and side intakes, while at the rear, the diffuser now sports a reflector in the middle
Offering 800Nm and 850Nm of torque respectively, the first car will complete the century sprint in 3.8 seconds, while the second will take just 3.6 seconds. This V8 can also be paired with an RS sport exhaust system, which further intensifies the sound experience and finishes the car with glossy black tailpipes.
Aiding affairs on the handling front, both cars come equipped with Audi's sport adaptive air suspension, while a sport electromechanical active roll stabilisation system is also available as an option, which Audi states significantly minimises lateral movements of the car's body.
At the front, the RS Q8 now comes with a front grille that sports a honeycomb structure, while its horizontal blade is in high-gloss black (the RS Q8 performance gets a matt grey item here). And at the rear, both cars sport two oval tailpipes which sit at either side of a diffuser that is now split down the middle by a reflector.
The cabin of the Audi RS Q8 comes with perforated sports seats that feature a honeycomb stitching and make use of contrasting stitching in the chosen design package colour
In the cabin, Audi has upgraded the 12.3-inch virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster, so it now offers a shift light indicator in manual mode - changing the rpm display from green to yellow to red, and flashing in a manner identical to that used in motorsports to indicate the optimal time to change gears.
Audi is also now offering the RS Q8 with red, grey, or blue RS design packages (the latter being exclusive to the RS Q8 performance). The car's perforated sports seats with honeycomb stitching will feature contrasting stitching in the chosen package colour, while those who opt for the blue RS design package will also get their car complete with seat belts in Ocean Blue.
Both the Audi RS Q8 and RS Q8 performance will be available to order in Europe from June 2024.
