Porsche is expanding the Taycan lineup with a new Taycan Sport Turismo body variant. The new body is said to combine the everyday usability of the Taycan Cross Turismo with the on-road dynamics of the Taycan sports saloon.
The Taycan Sport Turismo shares the sporty silhouette, rearward-sloping roof line and functional design of the Taycan Cross Turismo. However, it also foregoes any off-road design elements, and is also available with rear-wheel drive.
Headroom for those at the rear is more than 45mm greater than that of the Taycan sports saloon, while an additional nine millimeters of height is available above the driver's seat.
The large tailgate also means that the luggage compartment can be accessed with ease. The opening is much longer, at 801mm, and much higher, at 543mm, than in the saloon (434mm and 330mm respectively).
Five models of the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo will be available from mid-2022. These include the base Taycan Sport Turismo with 402bhp, the Taycan 4S Sport Turismo with 523bhp, the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo with 590bhp announced in November last year, as well as the Taycan Turbo Sport Turismo with up to 671bhp, and the Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo with up to 751bhp.
A range of 498km (based on WLTP energy consuption rates) can be had with the Taycan 4S Sport Turismo.
