Its electric motor puts out 100kW (134bhp) and a healthy 310Nm of torque, which results in a respectable 0-100km/h time of 10.1 seconds. Inside, you'll find an eclectic cabin design, but one that's practical and spacious. Boot space stands at 440 litres, but this expands to 1,340 litres with the backseats folded. As for range, the 60.5kWh Blade Battery is good for a claimed 420km.
Drivers seeking and SUV that's even roomier and more refined can get up close to the Sealion 7. It's one of BYD's most popular models today and it's not hard to see why. Apart from the well-built and well-equipped cabin, the Sealion 7 also scores top marks for safety, having earned a five-star Euro NCAP rating.
The Sealion 7 is available in three variants: Dynamic, Premium, and Performance. Dynamic is the Cat A model, with a 100kW (134bhp) powertrain, while Premium offers 230kW (308bhp).
The range-topping version is Performance, which kicks out 390kW (523bhp) and 690Nm of torque. It's the quickest of the trio as well, with the ability to go from a standstill to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds. The latter two Cat B models also have a larger battery (82.5kWh vs 71.8kWh for the Dynamic).
