2013 Porsche Boxster S clocks 7:58 timing at Nurburgring

The new 2013 Porsche Boxster having been restyled and given a thorough revision, is undoubtedly the best looking Porsche Boxster S yet. Not only that, it is also the fastest one yet, with its recent lap record of just under 7 minutes 58 seconds in Nurburgring Nordschleife. The last-generation Boxster S took 8:10 to do the same.

The new Boxster S gets its power from a smaller 3.4-litre flat-six engine and with its PDK transmission, 0 - 100km/h takes 4.7 seconds. A new mechanical Porsche Torque Vectoring differential system aids power application, while the Sport Chrono package adds dynamic transmission mounts, ostensibly to hold the drive train more stable under power.
