Also retained is the engine, with the 4.7-litre V8 unit producing 898bhp and 1100Nm of torque. With a weight of 1290kg, the Koenigsegg Agera is able to go from 0-100km/h in 3.1 seconds, 0-200km/h in 8.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 390km/h.
The Agera features a removable top that can be stored under the bonnet. The body structure is built from carbon fibre and kevlar with a flat floor tray containing Venturi tunnels towards the rear. The chassis is made from aluminium honeycomb reinforced carbon fibre with an adjustable suspension.
One change from the CCX however is an all-new carbon fibre centre console. There is also a new lighting system which uses "invisible nanotubes" underneath the car. Koenigsegg says it will build 16 to 20 Ageras a year, following its official launch at the Geneva Motor Show.
