Hisapano Suiza's newest release inspired by Japanese legend
20 Apr 2024|56 views
Hispano Suiza, the historic Spanish automotive brand, will see its Carmen range completed with the unveiling of the Carmen Sagrera on 13 June.
Coinciding with Hispano Suiza’s 120th anniversary, the Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera launch will have one recurring theme throughout the launch event: The Japanese red thread legend. The Carmen Sagrera, all-electric hypercar, will contain a 103kWh battery alongside evolutions in both aerodynamics and interior design.
The Japanese red thread legend states that when people are destined to be together, there will be an invisible red thread that unites them. Regardless of what the thread goes through, it will never break, keeping the people united before eventually leading them back to each other.
As for how this ties back to Spain, Hispano Suiza believes that the legend applies to the marque's humble beginnings. More specifically, Hispano Suiza's founding in 1904 apparently happened by chance when Damià Mateu and Marc Birkigt crossed paths - by the hand of an unknown force which pulled them together and kept them united.
The latest launch, which will complete the Carmen line, will be held at the Mas Solers estate in Sant Pere de Ribes, Spain, the same mansion chosen to launch the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne in 2020.
The red thread legend can be expected to be seen throughout the launch event. From the decoration to the planned activities, each element of the event radiates the inevitability of destiny alongside the idea of universal connection.
